We have tried this over the years and it keeps getting better. Nicely done N&N — 10 months ago
Deep purple color. Soft berries/ cherries up front going to a dry middle. Finishes with a cocoa finish. — 2 years ago
Berry berry berry, can’t you see? Sometimes you just baby bear me! Berrys, a touch of smoke and a whole heaps of cuteness - big wine for sure. — 4 years ago
This is, excuse me, a damn fine bottle of wine.
Worn leather, cigar smoke, and vanilla on the nose. Intense palate of overripe blackberry and cassis. Powerful but well integrated oak. Very long, complex finish.
Drank while watching a fan edit of Fire Walk With Me. Needs a solid decant. — 8 months ago
Consumed young. Ripe strawberries and flint on the nose. Plums, fresh cut hay, raspberry and a hint of charcoal on the front. Light butterscotch and rhubarb on the front on the finish. Not a jammy wine. — 3 years ago
Pinotman /// Andreas
Like a Burgh - no difference. Franken Pinot (FP). Schlepped this all the way from this super remote winery my 2nd bottle. Stumbled onto this wine because Jancis Robinson recommended this (after all she used to be the Sommelier of the Queen of England). Suitcase import. 13.5% world class - really. Roses on the nose. In the glass faint cherries, blackberries, elderberry (just bought a plant we used to make jam), red currants. Back palate hard to define Za'atar (the plant) - Screw Cap (a strange choice for such quality juice). I know this wine is inaccessible for most folks on this website - sorry. But Franken is a very interesting wine region. The soil is by the way limestone - so it is classic for Pinot. I walked the vineyards - very off the beaten path - even for Germany. — 15 days ago
