Really enjoyable, fantastic with slow roast lamb — 4 years ago

Another wine from the Langtons Outstanding Classification. A multi regional blend from WA with Cabernet fruit from both Margaret River and Great Southern (Mount Barker). Classic Cabernet descriptors - long living. Deserves its rating as Outstanding. — 8 years ago
Lovely aged Riesling. Floral with first hints of kerosene. — 8 years ago
Dense Ruby. Black Pepper, dried herbs and dried meat. Not all savoury - also a nice sweetness- plum and other dark fruits. I noticed my notes when I first tasted this at the winery Cellar Door in Christmas 2019 - “My kind of Shiraz”. Outstanding. Trophy for best West Australian Red at Royal Perth Wine Show; 96 points from Ray Jordan. — 7 months ago

A label new to me I bought at a Downs Club tasting. A little funk on the nose with almonds and under ripe stone fruit. Impressive if not a little light on the palate with the nose carrying through on to the palate. On the 2nd day this had filled out finishing with a saline minerality. Medium plus intensity and length. Proves once again that the Adelaide Hills is an exceptional area for Chardonnay - think Shaw and Smith M3 Chardonnay. — 4 years ago
Very Alsatian, wet stone, a bit of peppery spice, high acidity. — 6 years ago

🍷✅✅❤ a wonderful spicy riesling — 8 years ago
A sappy red fruited slightly savoury perfume…stewed fruits. Reminds me of those Western Australia Pinot characteristics. I used to buy Moss Wood Pinot where the fruit came from Pemberton if I recall correctly. This WA Pinot from Mount Barker, we bought at the winery a few years ago reminds me of the old Moss Wood Pinots. I don’t think this is a cellaring proposition but it is tasting great at 6 years old. On the 2nd night a whiff of honeycomb from the oak. — 2 years ago
Chilled red - Powell’s Leederville — 3 years ago
We bought this at the cellar door in Mt Barker WA in early January on a trip over there before COVID hit and state borders were closed. First of 6. Dark Ruby in colour. Very peppery on nose and palate with touches of cinnamon - fruit is in the plum spectrum. Drinking this rather young - it will develop more complexity. I personally love this Northern Rhone style. — 6 years ago

Spicy mulberry aromas and flavors in this lovely aged Shiraz from the Whispering Hill vineyard in the Mt. Barker area of the Great Southern region, the winery is about 1 hour north of the Margaret River area, on the way south from Perth, still quite dark color, starting to show its age, but still a very fine Shiraz!! — 6 months ago
