See previous note from January 2024. Sous Bois, Forest floor to the max. WA better known for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz but Pemberton produces a good Pinot Noir. More savoury than fruit driven.

A sappy red fruited slightly savoury perfume…stewed fruits. Reminds me of those Western Australia Pinot characteristics. I used to buy Moss Wood Pinot where the fruit came from Pemberton if I recall correctly. This WA Pinot from Mount Barker, we bought at the winery a few years ago reminds me of the old Moss Wood Pinots. I don’t think this is a cellaring proposition but it is tasting great at 6 years old. On the 2nd night a whiff of honeycomb from the oak.
