Pale fruit, crisp finish, not too sweet and easily to drink by itself or with a fish. — 3 years ago
Solid nose of dark red fruits. Tannic yet silky and long finish. This is an excellent old-world merlot/cabernet blend with finesse. It can stand on its own, or be enjoyed with food as it is a little on the acidic side. — 3 years ago
Before the storm! Apremont Jacquere planted in 1956, destroyed in 2019 by hail. Orchard fresh fruit salad. Stony pallet and pineapple acidity. There is a creamy character, nice little background to the fruit and mineral. Does need some air to disparate some ‘natural odors’ but I find those easy to get past. — 3 years ago
Rich fruit. Good minerality. — 7 months ago
2019 vintage. Château La Fleur Cailleau, Canon-Fronsac. Bought in 1982 by Paul Barré (also Château La Garde, Fronsac) and managed these days by his son Gabriel and his wife Edith. Biodynamically farmed since 1990. Very impressive indeed, with an exemplary purity of fruit, ripe tannin and energetic acidity. Highly recommended. Abv. 14,5%. — 2 years ago
Bottle we bought back from Napa 2021 — 3 years ago
Tiny bit sparkly and almost sweet but not quite. Tannin is present. Well-matured fruity scent. Good light-bodied chardonnay. It’s unoaked. — 3 years ago
Fig? Plum? Sea salt. Has the density and richness of a dessert wine, but it isn’t. Strange and good. — 3 years ago
