Smooth with lots of tobacco notes to augment excellent fruit. Could easily age another decade — 9 years ago
Although aged in bourbon barrels, little of the sweetness or flavor of the bourbon seemed to come through; however, it was a nice solid Cabernet that was a touch stronger and richer than a traditional Cab. Letting it breath is recommended as it was better on day two after having been open for 24-hours. — 7 years ago
Very friendly offering, soft on the palette with enough spice to augment our Mediterranean meal. — 9 years ago
On night one, this was just pure pure fruit, but on night 2, more complexity is showing. The fruit is still remarkably intense and pure, but there is some beautiful slate on the nose to augment the ripe apple, peach, and fresh squeezed ripe lemon. The concentration of fruit in the mouth is hard to believe, but it’s not heavy. Rather, there is intense but submerged acidity and a prickle of minerality as well. An emerging hint of honeyed botrytis as well. This is going to last and improve for many many years. — 5 years ago
From a 375. The captivating nose soras with granite, dried black olive, bright green olive, toasted white peppercorn and dried morel mushroom notes that augment the black current and black raspberry fruit. The palate echoes the nose with lifting acidity and pretty floral accents. This bottle is full on in a great spot. If there was a touch more depth and complexity on the palate and finish this would be have been perfect. — 8 years ago
Vibrant and classic example of Genevrieres. Hints of almond and sea shell like minerality augment a delicate citrus backbone. Drinking well now. No need to wait! — 12 years ago

As a Garnachista, I’m embarrassed to say that this, I think, is my first Garnacha from Sierra de Gredos. I may be late to the party but I showed up. Wonderful ripe Grenache fruit, loads of kirsch, a bit of raspberry. Powdered rock dust minerality. It’s a big boy. I broke my “No 15%” rule in buying this. But the alcohol seems balanced. Really nice flavor density. A surprising whack of tannin in the back half of the palate. Lots of savory flavors to augment the fruit. — a month ago
