Excellent PQR! lighter red, great with pizza — 2 years ago
Nose is so sexy. Sexy cherries and roses. Pink and red roses hand crushed and jammed in your face. As it opens more dusty roses
Palate is sexy cherries. Pink rose internal aromatics. So juicy. A bit bitter. So good.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of dinner. The 2016 pours a deep purple color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with mostly dark fruit: black cherry, plum, purple flowers, animale and earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Tasty stuff. Drink now through 2041. — 6 months ago
Gorgeous bottle of ruby red shades and intense aromatics featuring vanilla, spices, rose petals, and nuts. Quite complex. Great medium+ body and strong acidic structure but with a refined weight and balance, it’s not overpowering but has a lot of character. Really good lingering finish. — a year ago
2019. Solid gold with pizza. — 2 years ago
First take: it’s a bit muddled and flabby….lacking crisp structure. It is young so I will test on day two. Day 2.5: impressively, air has brought this one to life! Clarity and articulation are now present. The character profile is still medium+ weighted fresh red/black cherry with a delicate green herby frame. What improved - the focus and clarity of the acidity. It broadened, thus mouthfeel improved. — 4 years ago
Not usually a rose fan, but this was great! — 5 years ago
Ruby brick translucent, well balanced tannins, acidity and minerality, tart cherries and currants, solid montalcino — 8 months ago
Good value Amarone from Costco. Pop and pour approachable. Not as dense as the best Amarone but has the nice clove spiciness, fig, and dried leaves slight tannins with a pleasant finish. Surprisingly there is a hint of ripe strawberry that is a softening agent. — 9 months ago
Excellent! Rounded, red fruits, beautiful — a year ago
Andrea Franchetti’s flagship red, Passorosso is made with 100% Nerello Mascalese from various contrade (crus): Malpasso, Guardiola, Santo Spirito, Favazza and Arcuria, at different elevations and soils. Aged in large neutral oak barrels and bottled unfiltered. Bright, pure, red fruit on the nose. Quite powerful and ripe. Red fruit and hints of blood orange — 4 years ago
Had a drink with sinta steak, the taste went very good with the food,

Very nice but have a sneaking suspicion this would have maybe been just a smidge better a couple years ago? Aromatically incredible, one of those wines you can just smell and smell. Quite high toned, floral, and red fruited on the nose, which carries through to the palate. Excellent acid. Tannins are just a whisper which makes this overall come off as lighter than I expected. Long finish and delicious. — 6 months ago
