One word. INSANE! I've heard all about Haber from @Shawn R and @Martin G Rivard and I'm more than pleased to say that their recommendations are totally spot on! Tonight was the Taste of Howell Mountain event in Dallas and the line-up was absurd. Aloft, Adamvs, Lamborn, Dunn, Outpost, O'Shaughnessy and many other rock stars. After tasting through many '13s and '14s, the '14 Haber Howell Mountain was the Wine of the night without a doubt. His '13 was great and when he said his '14 was excellent I thought it couldn't surpass it...it most definitely did. Buy this stuff up! The nose is out of this world...smoked meats, caramel, candied almonds. Jackpot! — 9 years ago

Inviting, with lilting sweet aromas of baked apple, white peach, lemon curd and spring flowers. On the palate the 2014 Raptor Ridge Pinot Gris is equally tender and round, held aloft by a delicate vein of acidity that provides just enough lift. This is a delicate, pretty Gris that reminds me of early spring. Medium length finish. 13.5% ABV | Sample — 11 years ago
The newly-released 2004 Gloria Ferrer Carneros Cuvée is a lively blend of 53% Pinot Noir and 47% Chardonnay. I spent a full day touring the facility and estate vineyards and was impressed by the care and labor that goes in to crafting their sparkling wines. The 2004 displays ripe red fruit and pleasing biscuit notes held aloft in a creamy stream of bubbles. On the palate, it's fresh and vibrant, I'd love to revisit this after its had time to further develop. 12.5% ABV | Sample — 11 years ago
Very light in color. Bright acidity. One of the leanest chenins you’ll taste. Would be interested to taste this aged. Very good. Pretty label. — 3 years ago
Holy wow. This wine is a monster. This wine is probably going to drink its best in 2022, and probably won't go anywhere until 2030 or longer. This wine was already drinking well last night. Half of the bottle was still remaining, but neither of us recorked it. So, this wine was left UNCORKED all night, and recorked at 8AM today. About 7 hours after that, this wine was tasted and WOW. This wine could run the table with the best. POWER! Cassis, blueberry, blackberry, vanilla, mint, spice, peppery finish, great tannin, impeccable structure. From the same vineyard that Aloft comes from, this is better than any Aloft I've ever had at half the price. MIND BLOWN. And this one will only get better. As I would prefer not to decant this wine for 18 hours, I'll just hold the others for 2 years and then decant for 4-5 hours instead! — 9 years ago
A lively conversation ensued around the Jean Vesselle Bouzy Champagne Cuvée Friandise Demi-Sec Rosé, a debate centered not on this wine's formidable 32 g/l dosage, but rather it's dark crimson color, which Delphine Vesselle insists is pink. Wafting aromas of cherry clafoutis, raspberry purée, rose petals and a faint smoky edge. The attack is more delicate than I'd imagined, with red fruit at the center, carried aloft by a fine mousse and pleasant savoriness. Lot 30854 | Sample — 10 years ago
Cherry, hay scents waft. Deep blackberry tang aloft. A unique Pinot. — 10 years ago
Wispy and aloft like that blonde girl with the short bob from 8th grade summer camp. But also, with some backbone, like that girl that told Nolan he was a bully and that he couldn't speak to me like that in the fourth grade. #TetherballPolitics. — 10 years ago
Another lovely and lively California sparkler from a vertical tasting of Gloria Ferrer's Royal Cuvée Bruts. The 2001 is as charming as the other vintages I've tried, though it shows an evolution in the house's style—a trend toward a lighter, slightly softer, fruitier bubbly. It's delicate and focused, like Chantilly lace, inlaid with traces of mineral veins that hem in notes of anise, blackberry and brioche held aloft by a fine, frothy mousse. 12.9% | ABV Sample — 11 years ago
Okay, my hands are aloft. I have to admit, I’ve no idea how a basic Chianti - retailing around £13 with a production close to half a million bottles annually - can be this good. Heck, good doesn’t do it justice: it’s sensational. This 2016 San Felice didn’t need much time in the decanter to unfurl its alluring aromas of fresh blackberry, cranberry, dried cherry, vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon and clove; truly a joy to sniff.
The palate of forthcoming, with a supple mouthfeel offering flavours of ripe but very fresh black and red fruits, clove - again - along with tangy acidity and an iron core. The finish lasts for some time, and I find it a wine I struggle to put down.
This is a fantastic wine and, at least in 2016, an absolute must buy for lovers of Chianti. — 4 years ago
Enjoying another great bottle with dear friends. #bebright #unconventionalstrategies #revana #aloft — 9 years ago
Fresh aroma of citrus, butter and oak. Tastes of sweet butter and oak with a aloft tartness. Really nice! — 9 years ago
Generous, layered black fruit on opening: black cherries and blackberries held aloft by underbrush, anise and baking spice aromas. Composed of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah, Domaine Lafond's 2014 Lirac Roc-Epine is softly textured, a deep plunge into black fruit and velvety tannins—it's entirely voluptuous, with no-hard edges, save for spice notes on the finish, black pepper, cigar box, and clove. Truly a wonderful Lirac, everything you expect from the area, dark fruit riding aloft an oak staved hull. Salinity, bramble, precise and focused, a shame one of the brothers passed. A great winery, truly the forerunner of Tavel.
A little early, yet highly enjoyable and well deserved. — 10 years ago
I drank. at night. And in the morning I had arrived in heaven still in a stupor after the nights drinking in a ponder at how I'd arrived in heaven by following , head down , eyes drawn tight, lead along by all the empty and tossed Pinot noir bottles lining the path like guide posts left by others also on their way aloft to heaven which turns out to be through the gate of the cellar door shown above. — 11 years ago
Amazing depth and clarity of fruit from nose to palate. Smells range from coffee-tar to mushroom mulch and black cherry au jus. Lovely cherry blossom notes intermingle with rose water. The tannins are big initially, but harmonize rapidly in the glass. The drying sensation in no way detracts from the fruit which is bright plum and melange of cherries including bing finishing with aloft raspberry pillow. The balance is there, the stony, schisty minerality, and the oak is perfect, allowing the wine to speak in all its elegant Chiantese! Muscle for the money!! Feed this beauty something earthy, beefy or both! — 11 years ago

Big dark fruits. Soft, really delicate. Went well with my steak. — 5 months ago
