Decanted beautifully! Changes the taste completely. — 17 days ago
a bit of a production to enjoy; it took awhile to breathe but once it did, very complex (earthy and spicy). — 5 months ago
Red fruit aromas bursting with a sunny freshness that shows just how great Portuguese wine can be, especially when priced at a mere £6.99 a bottle.
The wine was decanted for an hour. It delivered a medium bodied very smooth and subtly spiced, dark fruit led wine with a terrific sweet background.
One I shall be back to. Well done Majestic. — 7 months ago
Nose of cherry, cranberry, violet, smoke, loam, beef jerky, and a slight medicinal phenolic note. Before it got some air, it had a reduced, carbonic impression. Complex.
Note quite as complex on the palate. Label describes it as "juicy" and it is indeed. Sour cherry and violet predominate with some hints of spice. There's a streak of med+ acidity throughout with soft, well integrated tannins.
A superbly elegant, well made wine. You would pay 2-2.5x this price for a Pinot with the same prowess (there's no Pinot Noir in this, but similarly structured). Would have never guessed this was from Portugal in a blind tasting. — 2 months ago
Most wines from this region are similar to Nebbiolo. This is a different grape though and was lighter with good minerality balanced with leather and earthiness. Couldn’t believe it but really enjoyed it. — 6 months ago
Vintage 2016 / Dão. 80% Jaen 10% Tinta Roriz 5% Alfrocheiro and even 5% others. Smoooooth! Great weekday wine with fine red summerfruit. Not complicated. Comforting. When you do not want to think about the wine in your glass, but only enjoy it. Bargainprice. — a year ago
Excellent + after some extra air time. Super drinkable and great value. Outstanding finish.

Drinks like an unfortified port. Very interesting and unique. Would definitely buy again. — 6 months ago
This red blend is made from hand-selected Tinta-Roriz (20%), Touriga Nacional (40%), Alfrocheiro (20%) and Jaen (20%) grapes. The wine is aged in French oak casks for 8 months, and another 4 months in the bottle. Enjoy with yellow cheeses, grilled or barbecued meats. — 10 months ago
