Crazy story of accidental plantings and new branded varietal. 2020 vintage 100% Graciano, 2021 vintage has 20% Petit Verdot and 5% Mouvedre added to the Graciano. Cool, unusual, delicious meritage! Better worthy time — 3 years ago
Marking the end of a somewhat accidental week of higher end (for us) Napa cabs... For me this is the best of the bunch, but Linh preferred the heitz Martha's slightly
Hard to believe this was a 05, no browning at the rim
Intense aromas of fresh and dried red cherry, cassis, blackberry. Intense savory notes of cigar smoke and dried leaf, dry earth, licorice
Palate is lifted but full bodied with medium + tannin and at least medium acid (definitely moreso than the heitz). Confirming the nose but juicier. Long finish of fruit
This was insanely fresh and I feel like it has 10 years until its peak. Blew us all away — 4 years ago
This is an accidental pour... I wanted to open one other Robert Weil erste lage Riesling trocken wine and didn't pay enough attention... well, this is probably much too young, but we like it anyway! The nose is slightly muted with lemon skin, a petroly thing, rose petals, elder flower, a touch of vanilla. Wow this is a bit unusual when compared to the usual german Riesling numbers I am used to. There is almost a tiny strawberry jogurt touch too. The palate is showing a great acid drive, some massive width, some grip all along, lemon zest, lemon juice, that same jogurty note all along... The finish starts with a massive, spherical, mid palate that powers up a real massive complex finish with lemon peel, strawberry jogurt that goes on for almost a minute. This is probably too young but this is a monster of a wine too. Hat's off! — a month ago
Ahhh mazing! Tart, crisp, dry and almost effervescent on tongue. Accidental splurge at Fred’s Avalon, saved for Kennebunkport getaway in July 2021! — 4 years ago
Elegant as all get out. I can’t get over Palo Cortado, even with its shady requirement to be called “Palo Cortado”—pretty sure some are no more accidental “failed Finos” than chocolate chip cookies were a ‘whoops I dropped chocolate in the dough’—but that matters not. Mixed nuts and lemon and amaretto don’t sound like things I’d want to consume all at once but they are elements of this wine I love all at once. — 4 years ago
Surprised by this 12 buck wonder. Pepper, Smokey caramel, plumb and lasting notes combined for an accidental pleasantry. I should have bought a case for the Fall. — 2 years ago
Unusual, almost accidental Priorat white made with mostly Viognier - a variety they planted by mistake after a French nursery sent Viognier rootstock instead of the Cabernet Sauvignon they ordered. It includes an additional 25%-30% Garnacha Blanca and Chenin. Intense nose. White flowers, white peach. Full-bodied, ripe, quite high alcohol. Mineral — 4 years ago

Accidental perfect pairing w hazelnuts, farro, dill, chickpea, arugula and cinnamon. Tension and lift sustains on finish. — a month ago
