I love the use of the concrete egg, retains the freshness of the grape with minimal vessel influence to the finished wine 👍

Cappellano

AB Normal Barbera d'Alba 2014

Fairly transparent for Barbera and light in alcohol at 13.5%. Lovely bright nose, ripe of red cherry with a floral twist. On the palate it tastes quite evolved with a secondary profile that is very appealing. Could almost pass for a barolo. Probably best Barbera I’ve tried and better than the Burlotto Aves and Vietti Scarrone tried alongside. — 6 months ago

Paul Hobbs

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Oh mama. As explained to me, this is the ultra rare combination of the best of the best from Paul Hobbs. And was it good? Ab-so-freaking-lutely. Very rounded mouthfeel. Nose of ripe blackberry currant, spice, cedar. You could smell the wine coming out of the bottle from about 2 feet away. Entry was all perfectly mature black fruit. As full bodied as a wine can be. The middle showing a little bit of smoke, tar, black licorice, mulling spices. This one really was perfectly balanced. The finish was still pooped, but it was a rounder type of roasted tannin. Tons of black pepper on the finish. I have no doubt this one could hold 20 or 30 years as the bones are definitely here and this one is a dense, dark, perfect example of a new age Napa Cabernet. — a year ago

@Paul T- Huntington Beach this is the Hobbs Winery Red which is supposed to be the Uber limited cab that goes for $700 or something crazy like that. I'm guessing I might not have indexed the right wine @Delectable Wine ?

Good to know because I’ve never seen that label or wine now that you mention the difference, how many barrels do they make of that one?
