Chante - Alouette Hermitage Blanc Marsanne 2019

I can’t get over this wine! The first word that comes to mind is luscious!! Ripe peaches and pear, smoke, pineapple, chamomile, tree bark and limestone. I need a case and now I can’t find it - should’ve bought more!!! — 9 days ago

Muschelkalk Pinot Noir 2017

Addictive and absolutely stunning. Super elegant and lean when compared to the Buntsandstein from E&M. Ethereal cherry 🍒 light as air. Crushed Marble. Essentially like a Premier Cru Chambolle Musigny from the slopes of the black forest. Tannin’s fully resolved. Drink Up!!!! I would not keep this longer. From here on out it will loose its luster. — 4 months ago

Monier de La Sizeranne Hermitage Syrah 2018

Very smooth, with a dense mouthfeel. Deep black fruits like currants/cassis blackberries. Plus a lot of smoke and black pepper, tannins add bitterness but not a hint of astringency or grippiness, just structure. — 5 months ago

Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon

very nice everyday cab from a reliable producer. Enjoyed much more on second day after much airing. Balanced with nice ripe berry flavors but missing the tannins punch. — 2 months ago

Montes Alpha M Santa Cruz Apalta Single Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2017

Must love roasted veggies. But this has shed some of its oak and youthful reduction. In a good spot with another 5-10 years of interest. — a month ago

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Deep purple in color with a reddish rim.

Dry on the palate and fruit forward, with a very pretty nose.

Showing black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, chocolates and coffee.

Full bodied and soft with nice complexity and balance.

This is a gorgeous 15 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Rich and elegant. Complex and nicely balanced. Fruit forward and interesting.

Good right out of the bottle and delicious by itself.

Robert Parker 91 points.

Will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

I've had many different vintages of this Cabernet and it is always delicious with age.

A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot.

14.3% alcohol by volume.

La Bernardine Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2011

75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre —a total stunner she is, drinkable now with a body to go the difference. The nose brings red fruits (plums, cherries, strawberries) and roses and rose petals. The palate is silky-smooth, fresh fruit giving way to tootsie roll and stewed fruit flavors, augmented by earth and sanguine balsamic grooves, a bit of herbal garrigue carrying the day. The finish carries on, persistent and solidly ethereal if we can make that a thing. — 2 months ago

Le Méal Blanc Hermitage Marsanne 1999

Served with Fisherman’s Pasta - sablefish, mussels, saffron gnocchetti pasta, fennel, fresh baguette toast. Well stored Hermitage Blanc is a special experience and this bottle of 1999 “Le Méal” was no exception. Fascinating notes of clove, yellow flowers, apricot, marmalade, honeysuckle, and sunflower seed. Next to the Montrachet, the acid is perceived to be low and there’s an almost oily texture. Delicious. — 2 months ago

Liaison Pinot Noir 2017

A little bit of a port wine nose. Brown tinge. Seems to me as one of the more difficult vintages E&M had to care for. Round, mature, herbaceous, lime, quite earthy and acidic. I would start drinking this 2017. — 4 months ago
