Hawks Butte Vineyard Syrah 2016

Power and restraint. High toned. Red fruit. Olives and some white pepper. Needs long decant at this point. Really killer with this strip steak — a month ago

Meyer Family Cellars

Dry Rosé of Syrah 2019

This is just shockingly good. Full bodied and silky but with a sturdy acidic backbone. Dried blue and red fruit, with the addition of loads of Mediterranean herbs. A great rose for not-quite-hot weather, and a complex and detailed wine that would be worth it if it costs 3x what it did. — 3 months ago

Yorkville Highlands Symphony 2017

I am not usually a fan of muscat or sweeter wines, but this balance of floral notes, sweet and dry is brilliant. Buttery, but not over the top — a month ago

Yorkville Highlands Petite Sirah 2006

2006 Vintage. 15% Alcohol. This is at it’s peak and a great Petite Sirah! Tannins resolved and lots of blueberry and blackberry fruit with smooth mouthfeel for a PS. Great job Mike Officer! — 3 months ago

Yorkville Highlands Sémillon 2017

Light golden in color.

On the nose limes, citrus, light earth, green apples, herbs and minerals.

Medium bodied with medium acidity. Crisp and refreshing.

Dry on the palate with lemons, citrus, green apples, light grapefruits, bitter herbs, earth and vegetables.

Medium finish with limes and bitter almonds.

This is a very tasty Sémillon from Mendocino County in California. Fruit forward with nice acidity. Showing mild complexity, interesting and refreshing.

This 4 year old is nicely balanced and good right out of the bottle.

Good by itself or with food, and better when properly chilled.

A good quality wine. Would be interesting to try it again in 3 to 5 years.

Aged for 10 months in neutral French Oak barrels, on its lees.

13.1% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

Yorkville Highlands Cabernet Franc 2006

Perfect wine to dress up an otherwise mundane meal. Two Yorkville Cellars wines from the ‘06 vintage in less than a week. Both were quite excellent. — 3 months ago
