Took some time to open up but became delicious. Lots of fruit but not sweet. The splash of viognier softened the Syrah a bit. — 5 months ago
My last YY 2015 Pinot Noir. A good balance between red fruits and savouriness and probably drinking at its peak. I have always loved YY Pinot Noir Noir back when it was undoubtedly the best Pinot Noir in Australia in the mid 1980’s made by the legendary Dr Bailey Carrodus. A lot more competition for that mantle these days but Yarra Yering is still kicking major goals as recently as 2 weeks ago winning a Platinum award and 97 points for their 2022 Pinot Noir at the Decanter World Wine Awards in London. The following night aromatic red florals. — 4 hours ago
The 3rd matching wine in the degustation at Restaurant Dan Arnold. I’ve been a long time fan of Yarra Yering back to the 1980’s, pretty much exclusively with their reds. This Dry White is a blend of Semillon and Chardonnay. ( not as per the title) Lemon and lime notes on nose and palate with M plus acid I recall. Certainly drinking this in its infancy. — 5 months ago
Good. Worth another bottle. — 2 months ago
Delicious balance, curry night with Audrey’s — 4 months ago
In its prime. Opened a day after trying the 100pt 2021 at the winery. The 2005 is a different beast entirely as it was made by Bailey Carrodus and the 2021 by Sarah Crowe the current winemaker. So much brambly fruit with rich opulence underpinned by fine tannins. Wonderful mature wine. — 4 months ago

Dark ruby/ Inky in color with a wide reddish rim.
Beautiful nose with blueberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, spices, cedar, licorice, cola, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, rhubarb, light vegetables and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry and fruit forward on the palate with black currants, blackberries, cedar, sweet cherries, plums, tobacco leaf, eucalyptus, figs, light vanilla, earth, Indian spices, black pepper and coffee.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a delicious Shiraz from the Yarra Valley in Australia. Tasty and easy drinking. Fruit forward and nicely balanced. Showing lovely complexity on the nose.
This 14 year old is peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.

Feels like a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend. Very interesting.
Thank you Scott for sharing this with me.
I did not decant it, but let it open in the bottle. Good right out of the bottle, and gets better after 90 minutes of airtime.
100% Shiraz grapes were handpicked, and aged for 12 months in large oak barrels.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
93 points.
