Silencieux Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

I opened the 2019 Venge Silencieux Cabernet Sauvignon a couple nights ago. This is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Merlot.

On the nose is black cherry, blackberry, plum sauce, black currant, chocolate, herbs, spice and black pepper.

On the palate is black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, cassis, vanilla, lavender, wood, green bell pepper and earth.

This is a full bodied wine with medium + to high acidity and medium + firm muscular tannins that leads to a long dark fruit earthy finish. I hope you all are well going into this weekend. Please stay safe and healthy and enjoy yourselves. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Wonderful cab. Strong fruit. Tannins but not too strong. A tad more tannins than Austin Hope. — 7 months ago

Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel 2020

9.2

A luscious Zin with dark plum, raspberry, black pepper, espresso, and baking spices. Juicy and ample. Finely grained tannins.
For 2020, the grapes were from Calistoga. Kirk Venge is the wine maker.

Bone Ash Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

This is a fantastic Cabernet! Maybe the best current release cabernet I’ve had this year (so far). Sweet wood tannins well integrated, fresh red currants, and boysenberry. Great now, will age well for 20yr. — 8 months ago
