Tenuta San Guido

Bolgheri Sassicaia Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc 1998

1998 Sassicaia. Latm dinner at Ner. I preferred this over the 1999 Valdicava Madonna out of 3L. This wine had great length, lots of fruit, and didn’t feel as lean as the Madonna. — 3 years ago

Le Macchiole

Bolgheri Rosso SuperTuscan Blend 2013

Big into Rosso's lately. Enjoyed this wine.. Nice earthy w dark fruit, butwas missing the long finish that some of the better ones have. Valdicava '11 still a favorite! — 6 years ago

Riserva Madonna del Piano Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2007

So young still. Bricking a little with garnet color. Rose garden, leather, plum, cherries, black currant, spice box, cedar on the nose. Still somewhat austere after 4 hours of air. Could be mistaken for a left bank. Tannin is powerful and this seems like it could keep aging for some time. Not as balanced as when I had it last time. — a month ago

Le Pergole Torte Sangiovese 1990

James Parker Huston, CWE

In a great place. Called it 1990 Valdicava. Pretty happy with that call. — 6 years ago

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2006

It’s fine/good. Don’t love it. Doesn’t really stand out. — 2 months ago

Domenico Clerico

Pajana Barolo Nebbiolo 2008

It followed a Poggio Antica Brunello from 2007 and showed beautifully. Was eclipsed by the Valdicava Brunello later in the night — 3 years ago

Great Brunello, more restrained than Valdicava. Great nose, smooth and structured. #ehrlich #winegeek2q2014 — 8 years ago

Classic Brunello. Drinking very well now.
