Popped and poured; no formal notes. This glass was poured from Coravin. A fun, predominantly red fruited Xinomavro that has an interesting sweet corn sort of thing going on. Red fruits and leather. Structure is firm but well managed and not punishing. Balanced. A few years of age and Coravin may have played a role in development. — 3 months ago
My first Xinonavro. Reminds me on a mix of Pinot Noir and Nebbiolo. Straight light red fruits, complexity, middle acidity and fine tannins. Will not be my last one — 5 months ago
Xinomavro is really a variety to seek out if you want to drink complex wines of the highest level that still are really affordable. I love it. The nebbiolo market seems slightly flooded in 2023 and if you are looking for something similar this is it. Complex mesmerising aromas and a super structured and well balanced wine. Dark berries, plums, baking spices, marzipan, bay leaf, olives, mushrooms. Silky texture and a tannic finish. — 2 months ago
Nez de fraises. Doux comme un Beaujolais nouveau — 4 months ago
Really nice Greek red, had at Kurt and Sarah’s for Sarah’s bday. Drank like a borollo. — 2 months ago
Dark garnet/Medium ruby color. Bright aromas of ripe red cherries, earth and baking spices. Just a hint of Brett. Cherries also fill the palate along with notes of plum, minerals, black olives and dried herbs. Faint touch of vanilla on the medium finish. Bright acidity and light tannins. Nicely aged. — 2 months ago
