Second take on this one
Lemon, lemon peel, some yeasty notes and that flowery touch. It's intoxicating! The palate is great and well made. A massive acid backbone, some great lemony notes all along, a great, vivid and grippy mouthfeel and a long fresh finish with lemon and lemon peel that goes for ever. This is much better than most of the German rieslings I had recently for the same price tag but in a more straight forward, citrusy way — 4 days ago
Light and airy, with persistent bubbles. A fun aperitif to enjoy with light snacks. — 5 days ago
Preisinger Reinberger, Rhein Riesling Wagramstölln 2018
First Austrian Riesling if I'm not mistaking and probably not the last as it's pretty good! Lemon and lemon zest along with white pepper and some flowery notes. This is a beautiful nose. The palate is dry but very well balanced : great acid, great width, a soft mouthfeel yet quite vibrant, some lemony touches all along, there is matter and it's quite complex. The finish is long, dry and fresh with lemon and lemon zest. Grezt effort and the balance of it makes it much better than most of the German Riesling I tasted recently — 12 days ago
Fresh, juicy & cool.
Pure nose full of ripe, yellow, juicy & sweet apples. Plus a whiff of fresh pastry dough and just a hint of something cool & pure underneath.
On the palate this is just so juicy. Fresh. Apples & pears at the forefront, ripe and succulent yet there’s a brilliant fresh balance and a cool, slightly salty finish.
Beautiful terrace sipping but this has the weight & depth to take on some fish, too.
Delightful. — a month ago
