Perrières Meursault Chardonnay 2019

Med yellow. Nice nose of wet stone? Flowers and a soft lingering palate with green apple crispness of citrus, and stone. This is young wine that tastes fabulous. — 4 months ago

Meursault-Charmes 1er Cru Chardonnay 2014

This is the Pascale Matrot not the Pierre Matrot Charmes Meursault. I have previous notes here on both Cuvées. A strange charcoal note initially which wasn’t there on the 2nd day. Pale to mid yellow in colour Flint and citrus with yellow orchard fruits developing. River stones. Very mineral together with pear on the medium weight palate. An excellent Premier Cru Meursault from a great vintage for White Burgundy. — 5 months ago

Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru Chardonnay 2014

Initial impressions of green apple, citrus, wet stone and mineral. Same on the palate. Still quite restrained from this excellent white burgundy vintage of 8 years ago. Quite lean for a Premier Cru Meursault and leaner than most good Australian Chardonnays The oak is clearly dialled back to match the power of the fruit in this cooler vintage. A touch of salinity at the finish. — 2 months ago

Pineapple and tropical notes. Not too acidic with some creaminess. Great value burgundy. — 4 months ago

Meursault Chardonnay 2019

More acidity and citrus than burger and glycerin, but overall fresh and harmonious. Low QPR however. — 5 months ago
