Angeli Ballard Canyon Syrah 2014

Big wine. Black olives and herbs. Probably should have had it with dinner. Would have been so good with a chop or bolognese. — 19 days ago

La Cuadrilla Santa Ynez Valley Syrah Blend 2018

Lovely Central Coast Syrah (70% Syrah, 15% Grenache, 15% Sangiovese), this is made by Stolpman for the benefit of their workers (which is super neat), the Sangiovese provides nice acidity and “freshness”, I really enjoy this wine!! — 4 months ago

Combe Ballard Canyon Trousseau 2022

Light garnet color. Very interesting nose and palate of red fruits, rose petals, dried herbs, black tea, bergamot and sweet baking spices. Hint of eucalyptus on the long, complex and earthy finish. Smooth tannins. Lively, bright and very well balanced. Nice concentration for a light bodied wine. Excellent! — a month ago

La Croce Syrah 2012

Potpourri, flower petals. A lot of blue fruit. Transcends into lion’s mane, blossoming fruit that lingers on the nose and carries across the pallet. It leaves me wanting more … Really clean. This is CA all the way and not too hot. Well done. — 2 months ago

So Fresh G.D.G. Santa Barbara County Gamay Noir 2021

Bright garnet color. Aromas of black raspberry and blueberry fruit and pepper spice. Same fruits on the palate with an additional note of dried cranberry, smoke and a hefty dose of minerals on the very earthy finish. The “tingle” of carbonic maceration is quite noticeable as well as the crisp acidity. Light bodied, fresh and bright. 12.5% ABV. Can certainly be served chilled. — 4 months ago
