Can from mexico? Lacking the tannins and full body of a typical cab. But very impressive considering geography — 3 months ago
Waxy unctuous but dry. Citrus peel and zest at first then apricot and salty cantaloupe towards the finish. A delightfully dry skin contact pet nat with just a touch of RS. — 4 years ago

I’m not sure why the app calls this Zinfandel a Syrah, but whatever. The nose is ripe red fruit, raspberry, dark cherry, and strawberry jam. More red fruit on the palate with a nice blend of oak, black tea, and cola. High acid, tannins, and alcohol, but, hey, it blends. Young and tart after six years, but not overpowering, this wine could make me a zin fan, maybe, someday. — 7 years ago

2022/6/8-10 with scallop crudo, homemade fresh tagliolini al Portonat, frico, etc. A nice mix of more “typical”, bright Sauvignon Blanc citrus and herbs with richer, stone fruit notes. Strong minerality, sneaky richness and plenty of acidity ensure a strong structure, and subtle depth keeps one coming back. — 4 years ago

Takara — Mio Sparkling Sake — Japan 🇯🇵
Overview
A lightly sparkling sake crafted in a modern, approachable style, designed to highlight freshness, gentle sweetness, and aromatic lift. With a low 5% ABV, Mio offers a soft, easygoing expression that bridges the gap between traditional sake and sparkling wine.
Aromas & Flavors
Delicate notes of white peach, pear, melon, and subtle floral tones, with a light rice-driven sweetness and clean aromatic profile.
Mouthfeel
Light-bodied with fine, soft bubbles and a smooth, off-dry texture. The low alcohol and gentle effervescence create a mellow, refreshing feel with a clean, easy finish.
Food Pairings
Sushi, sashimi, tempura, light appetizers, or as an aperitif. Particularly effective at opening a meal.
Verdict
An approachable and enjoyable sparkling sake that delivers freshness, softness, and aromatic charm. Ideal as a light, food-friendly starter.
🍶 Did You Know?
Sparkling sake like Mio is often crafted with lower alcohol and slight residual sugar, making it more approachable and similar in feel to lightly sparkling wines such as Moscato d’Asti.
🍷 Personal Pick
Completely out of my comfort zone, and a pleasant surprise. It set the tone perfectly for a Japanese meal, offering a soft, aromatic, and refreshing start before transitioning into white wines.

Between peppery black fruits and intense mineral notes. Freshness and power. Can age 2 years to develop some aromatic reliefs.
Entre fruits noirs poivrés et notes minérales intenses. Fraîcheur et puissance. Peut vieillir 2 ans pour développer quelques reliefs aromatiques. — 3 years ago
Finfin start men lite beskare ju längre ner i flaskan man kommer, tyvärr. Men inte hästkiss detta. #TNWC — 5 years ago

We like this one a lot. A bit spicy (which is a good thing). — 6 years ago
S.S. Mandani
Earthy, capri lemon, mineral, and fennel in the bouquet.
Good acid profile (moderate to high), granite / chalky / earthy / peaty unctuousness going on.
Rocky/gravelly chew. Less green and more stony. — 2 months ago
