Aux Boudots Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru PINOT NOIR 2016

Cherry, tropical woody notes (sandalwood), strawberry compote, forest floor. Good stuff but coming in a little “warm” on the palate. Muscular and tannic though though missing some freshness. — 8 days ago

Les Charmes Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay 2012

Serious reduction that after an initial 3 hour decant and then a necessary additional hour 😅, finally blows off and gives way to layers of ripe orchard fruit, dry yellow extract, lemon oil and lilies, finishing with a cool mineral streak. It’s drinking quite youthful and primary still, but it’s in a good place nonetheless showing a nice balance of richness, vibrant acidity, tension and freshness. 2012 could sleep a bit more or use a 3 hour decant at minimum. A lot of great material here. — 8 days ago

En Tabellion Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Fixin Pinot Noir 2014

Drank in 2021. Delicious. Opens nicely with an expected bouquet - another reviewer called it “old school.” It’s subtle and good friendly. Paired extremely well with a pasta dish with slightly sweet sausages, mozzarella and spinach. Also lovely to enjoy on its own without food but some good conversation — 2 days ago
