Great Bianchello from Marche! Old 2018 — 2 years ago
— 2 months ago
Absolutely dy-no-mite with shrimp scampi. This is one of those numbers that makes me question why I don't drink white wines more often. ROUND, mellow grassy flavor with faint licorice note that ticks all the boxes. Wish it came in a gallon jug. — 6 months ago
Albanella is the main variety. Autoctone grape from Marche. Very much Muscadet style. Perfect with oysters, raw mussles and crustaceous. I’d love to taste this wine in a few years to see its development potential. — 2 years ago
Az. Agr. Guerrieri ‘Celso’ Biancello del Metauro Superiore DOCG 2017: Medium-body. Nice minerality. Great acidity & balance. This Marche wine was pale yellow in color and presented a strong floral, aromatic nose. The flavors were complex & beautifully layered: white peach, apple, citrus, caramel & bees wax. The finish was long & dry. This might have been my first experience with the Bianchello grape (also known as Biancame) and it was quite satisfying and very refreshing & pure. Not to mention, it also paired perfectly with my mezzi rigatoni with pesto. Cheers🍷 — 8 months ago
Dear Diary,
Today I crushed a fantastic son of a bitch wine. Good god was this exact wine for any moment ever. My friends at the driving range didn't like it, but maybe it doesn't go well with white claws, but we still crushed some balls too.
