Cumulus Vineyard No. 7 Syrah Blend 2013

3 hour decant (decent fine/cloudy sediment). A brooding inky purplish color. On the nose: dark cherry, cassis, spearment, earth, touch of stewed meat and cinnamon. Taste: Nice!...layers of flavor! Creamy, rich, elegant, full body wine with blackberry, earth, cinnamon, orange peel, bacon fat, and a spicy black raspberry long finish. A wine that will get better with age...a must try wine!! — 21 days ago

@Shay A congrats you will not be disappointed (been on since 2012)...some style diff from SQN...more dark fruit, less sweet, etc. and since 2015 allocations include a bottle of Touriga Nacional which is the bomb

Rose Pinot Noir (Santa Lucia Highlands) 2020

Pale pink orange; medium intensity aromas I’d fresh strawberries, watermelon, pink grapefruit, tangerine; dry, high acid, medium alcohol, medium body, medium intensity flavors consistent with aromas; quite flavorful and concentrated — 8 days ago

Sibylle Sancerre Pinot Noir Rosé 2020

Delectable Wine
9.2

Limpid orange-pink. Incisive, mineral-accented red berry, orange pith and floral aromas show bright clarity and spicy lift. Sharply delineated in the mouth, offering concentrated raspberry, cherry and tangerine flavors that deepen as the wine opens up. Concentrated yet lithe in character, finishing with strong, minerally tenacity and a lingering honeysuckle flourish. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, July 2021)

Terra d'Oro

Clarksburg Chenin Blanc Viognier

Delicious and refreshing Chenin Blanc and Viognier!! At this price point, one could enjoy a bottle daily. Certainly this would be a wonderful pairing for so many dishes. This was a 2019 vintage, 85% Chenin Blanc and 15% Viognier. The Terra D’oro Winery notes this has aromatics of orange blossom, lemon curd and quince. — 7 days ago

Unoaked Arroyo Seco Chardonnay 2020

Star bright straw gold. Quince, orange zest, and white pepper on the inviting nose and medium palate which adds a bit of birch(!) on the finish. Extra time on the lees shows itself in texture and body that many California unoaked Chardonnays lack. Not Burgundian by any stretch, but it can go anywhere a lower-end Maconnais can with aplomb. Pork medallions is my current choice. Drink now. — 19 days ago
