Funny, when I first drank this my notes were a ‘meh’ kind of experience- just too shallow, the freshness & acidity there, nicely formed, slightly underripe blackberries, but it’s stuck in 2nd gear. After forgetting to get my notes down, I had a previously un recalled memory: the bottle really needs more time. I want to say it’s like a Raffault Chinon in its ‘dumb’ phase. — 3 years ago

The 2021 Rosé is done in the saignée method, sourced from all the tanks of Domaine Olga Raffault reds. The result is round and generous, providing a sense of softness in the mouth. In terms of flavors, there's red fruit, pear drop and a touch of savoriness. There's plenty of freshness here, but it's balanced and appetizing with a little grip on the finish which keeps things moving along. Lots of pleasure and balance. Very complex wine. I got this as a anniversary gift from @Olga Cebrian (thank you so much, Olgita!). Low alcohol, dry and very "closed" at mouth first. Smelled very fresh, like green grass after a good rest, and a little of red berries when you swirl. The color is very dark. Berries in the after taste. Pretty good! I love the Spanish wines that are modern with the class of old wines from France. — 3 years ago
One of my favorite Chinon producers for sure! 😬🍷😮🍷🔥 — 4 years ago
Expressive nose of thyme, graphite and wild raspberrys. Medium weight, with moderate tannic structure. Great vintage for the Les Peuilles vineyard. — 4 months ago

First go with the ‘16 and it’s got the blackberry, plum, tobacco and mineral that just goes on and on. A silky 12.5% it rivals any previous vintage. Drunk over 3 days and it’s still elegant at the last sip. — 2 days ago
