Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Paul K
9.3

Haven’t had this since 2020, so 3.5 years later... Last review included “cherries, cherries, cherries,” and had it at 9.1. This has evolved very well! Chocolate, cherries, and a very nice funk that gives this wine a touch of old world. Big fan! 93-94 — 15 days ago

Estate Grown Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

2009. Intake is tasting great. Smooth soft tannins yet complex with plum and spice that lingers with dark chocolate and sweetness. — 2 months ago

The Hess Collection

Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Deep Ruby with aromas of rich berry fruit, floral and complex spice, 76% Cab Sauvignon, 22% Malbec & 3% Petite Verdot . On the palate flavors of blackberry and blueberry with floral spice, integrated vanilla oak and earthy cinnamon. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice, vanilla oak and soft earthy notes, will still develop! A nice fillet mignon with Cabernet gravy will go well. — 37 minutes ago

Mt. Veeder Merlot 2013

Not as much fruit as later vintages, lovely structure tho and better at a higher end of temp range. — 5 days ago

Mayacamas Vineyards

Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

2019 vintage. Medium-heavy body. This was dynamite. Super-concentrated nose and flavors. Showy (for Mayacamas) now. Great mineral notes. 2018 was awesome as well but not nearly as up front. 3.27.24. — a month ago
