Pizza wine! No formal notes but I drank this alongside the Mocali RdM and I found this to be more to my preference. The Ciacci Piccolomini has a touch more polish and class; with a bit more depth while still being very true to place. Don’t get me wrong, the Mocali was good, this was just a touch better in my opinion. — 4 years ago
Entry level Sangiovese from a tried and true Brunello estate. Certainly not lacking in structure with black cherries, berries, firm acid, and hearty tannic grip. Pair this with meat lover’s pizza or bolognese. — 5 years ago

Mocali Rosso toscano. Very good. Full bodied. Want to make our "house wine". Hold up great to lots of spice (spicy curry) 2016 — 4 years ago
Punching outside it’s weight class as usual. — 5 years ago

Dark garnet color. Aromas and flavors of black cherry/raspberry with additional hints of mint, dusty earth, dried spices, tar, vanilla and cocoa. Nice long finish and noticeable (but silky) tannin structure. Concentrated and ripe. Aging nicely. Thanks for sharing Ron B! — 4 months ago
