Old Mission Peninsula Rosé of Pinot Noir 2020

Nicely done, 2 Lads. Crisp with notes of Green Apple, a nice balance without too much sweetness. If this is an indication of their 2020 harvest, it's time to explore further. — 17 days ago

Old Mission Peninsula Pinot Grigio 2020

Strong notes of green apple and maybe hints of pear. Just the right amount of acidity and very refreshing. Nice wine! — a month ago

Somer's Vineyard Mission 2019

Great food wine. Went perfect with Greek salad and ground beef pita. A lot of acid and tannin. Some vegetal flavors, light fruits like melon and plum skins. Classic example of if you taste this blind without food rating would likely not be great but with a Greek dinner, excellent. — a month ago

Really impressed with this one - floral nose, light to medium bodied, layered flavors of red berries and spice, great structure. Just delicious and perfect for warmer days ahead. — a month ago

Château La Mission Haut-Brion

Graves Red Bordeaux Blend 1961

Tasted blind. Dark red color. Fruit-forward nose with notes of black currants, violets, herbs, pipe tobacco, minerals and gravel and soil. Some menthol comes on later, as does a little brett thing (but only slightly). Rich and massive in the mouth. Flamboyant and powerful. Seems like it's fortified, as it really packs a wallop. Pretty awesome to put this up side by side with the 61 HB and compare. Both are all time greats, with the 61 HB a little better tonight given the slight bretty note that hangs around in the La Mish.
