MV McLaren Vale Shiraz 2020

2020 vintage. MV Shiraz. MV stands for both Mc Laren Vale and Multiple Vineyards, as this is a 100% Shiraz blend from 4 of the 6 biodynamically farmed Paxton estates. All parcels were vinified seperately, aged in French oak and blended prior to bottling. Intense perfume of blackberries and subtle spices with a hint of eucalyptus. Fresh, energetic and balanced with very good spicy length. Abv. 14%. — 7 days ago

The Jam McLaren Vale Shiraz

I like it. Peppery, stone fruits with flavourful dry after taste. Almost like a pinot — 14 hours ago

High Sands McLaren Vale Grenache 2017

Vingård planeter 1945. Bush vines. Nja. — 17 days ago

The Revivalist Clarendon Vineyard Merlot 2016

Deep Ruby color, rich fruit aromas with earthy tones. On the palate raspberry and cherry flavors with sweet spice, tobacco and cacao notes, rich tangy and juicy. Soft full tannins, long finish ending with oak and earthy herb ending. Just starting to drink now, will cellar for a decade. Tasting Sample! — 12 days ago

McLaren Vale Old Vine Grenache 2019

Big tannic and dry, a hearty grunty Grenache. Borderline too dry .. think I left it too long on decant and lost the clarity of early fruit and spice .. will just pop and pour next one. — a month ago

Ironheart McLaren Vale Shiraz 2012

A core of dense deep dark fruits, quintessential McLaren Val chocolate, coffee, subtle herbs and spice. Ripe and sweet, with tannin of amazing length and silky yet muscular grip. Sweet as in the very-best-of, not overdone, everything is beautifully balanced and turns to a mild savoury finish. — 14 days ago

Juxtaposed Old Vine Grenache

Absolutely outstanding QPR and noticeably better than the 2019. Deep and lushly fruited, great fruit density, silky tannin that brings a gentle grip. — 14 days ago
