Another dense young Boussey 18. Glorious fruit and minerals but a wall of tannin. Needs a 2+ hour decant. Nose is gorgeous cherries. Lipstick like intensity. I’ll be back. Texture gets softer and deeper with air. I love 18 but will take a while to get there. Incredible concentration and minerals. A great wine.

9.2 to 9.3 overnight. Superb earth and red fruits. Strawberry, gorgeous classic Burgundian aromas. Palate is super juicy and sleek. Great power and depth and unreal fruit. Delicious. Way better on day 2.

Checking in on some 18’s. Nose is soppy red cherries and tons of earth. Floral and complex with great breadth. Nifty little lieu-dit here. Palate is powerful, dense and tannic. But has a terrific core of fruit. Really gets to the back of the throat and love how the tannins are mineral inflected. Has the “broad” character of 2018 which will I think, like 1993, ultimately smooth out with age. More closed than last year but it’s all there. Will be back. Now with air it’s integrating more and sweetening up and the tannins are becoming more velvety — 24 days ago

When in Luxembourg, you should go with local delicacies. Vivid nose with cherry and a tiny bit of a mineral thing. Good acid backbone with a nice cherry note all along. Long finish with a tad bit of heat (but maybe we served it too hot). Very nice!
