Maule Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2019

I haven’t had a Chilean white in some time. I want to like it more than I did-it’s well made, offering mid palate richness & some complexity, with a lively green, unripe fruited palate. It’s that fruit, though, that doesn’t agree with my palate- it’s so.... green, & it really stands out. This would make a really interesting pairing with veal pacata, or an asparagus dish. Still, over delivers & a serious QPR. I could imagine someone who likes this kind of fruit rating it higher — 2 years ago
