San Andreas Fault Pinot Noir 2010

This older bottle is showing so beautifully! Aging totally gracefully, still with life left ahead. Delicate, and flavors still leading with fruit. — 3 days ago

Marcassin

Marcassin Vineyard Chardonnay 2013

2013 vintage. Overtly decadent, überripe and spent when tasting just after decanting. No sediment. Initial temp tasted was at about 60 degrees F. Rated an 8.8. Beyond golden color in the decanter. Prepared an ice bucket ice bath with double linen napkins atop the remaining ice and placed the decanter roughly 25% into the ice bath. Let sit for 20-25 mins. Retasted. Wine temp was closer to 45 degrees F. Completely different wine. Tasted like a top-notch, 10 year old Meursault with ridiculous amounts of vanilla bean and crème brûlée. Slight undercurrent of acidity wove the entire endeavor together. Now? A 9.4. Not my style but it didn't suck. 11.15.23. — 16 days ago

From brine to seasoned to cooked bird.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Gotta have two glasses with Thanksgiving Turkey, one for dark & white meat.

Nicely, ripe blackberries, black plum, black raspberries, dark cherries, medium intensity, dark spice, cinnamon stick, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, dark & red fresh and withering florals, near perfect acidity and a lush, balanced, long finish. At it peaks.

Belle Glos

Clark & Telephone Vineyard Pinot Noir 2020

This was excellent. Delicious, fruity, juicy, very smooth and drinkable, light tannins and not very earthy for a Pinot. — 11 days ago

9.2

This California, non-region specific, red blend knocked my socks off when someone ordered a bottle at dinner. I’d never have chosen it myself, but am glad I tried it. Beautiful nose, tannins and finish. And at $35.99 at our local wine store, it’s a steal! — 4 days ago

Hahn Winery

SLH Santa Lucia Highlands Estate Grown Pinot Noir 2021

Delectable Wine
9.0

The 2021 Pinot Noir SLH is a very pretty appellation-level offering. Dried herbs, tobacco, cedar and crushed autumn leaves add lovely complexity and nuance to this soft, understated Pinot from Hahn. There's plenty of subtlety and overall appeal here. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2023)
