This precocious rojado franc evokes memories of vintners of yore. It begins capriciously with marbled flavor facets. Later, it follows with oodles of black currant and elderberry. Finally, it mellows like a dachshund after a morning run and a bowl of breakfast. You will not be disappointed by this Lagarde production. Blessings to all. — 6 months ago
2019 vintage. Blaye A small production from selected grapes (70% Merlot with equal parts of Cabernet Franc and Malbec), aged in amphorae. A wine of impeccable balance, with succulent fruit and velvety tannin. Terrific value at 27 euros. Highly recommended. — 9 months ago
Chicken biscuits, actually tastes like you think a Garnet ruby would taste there is absolutely no mistaking the rich and right in full flavor here. Complete expression of a gray but its fullest with no subtlety, and it works oh so well — a month ago
Loved it. Very light, could drink it all night. — 6 months ago
Nice Malbec. Sweet sip and nice dry finish. Nose of vanilla and sweet coco. Medium body. Raspberries and blackberries. $13. Great Malbec — a year ago
Simple and delightfully straightforward. Great with Japanese curry. Agreeable price point. — 2 months ago
Im a fan of these LaGarde Argentine wines, they’ve got a casual tasteful quality plus the bottle aging’s included at the time of purchase. This vintage is good: light on the fruit, a bit herbal, earthy, with slight pepper spice and game blood. Full bodied, medium plus alcohol, good balance, intense tannings, and a meaty finish. Cheers. — 6 months ago
Into it. Cheaper, spicy table wine — a year ago
