Pure fruited and spicy from whole cluster fermentation. Light in color but with fresh acidity and a medium bodied frame of crunchy, earthy, forest fruit. Very Bordeaux in style, cassis, dark plums and black currant, a whiff of cedar wood. An earthy note, too. A touch of blackberry jam.
On the palate this remains fresh with zippy acidity, crunchy dark fruit, a nice tannic frame. The wood perfectly integrated, the finish fresh, juicy. This is delicious, year in, year out. — 4 years ago
