This excellent Saperavi Qvevri is from the Alazani Estate Winery, not the Alazani Winery. It hit all the notes that a Saperavi should hit. It began with dried cherry, and then transitioned to that unusual bite that Qvevri wines have, ending with smooth tannins. Classic Georgia, tasty and different from wine anywhere else.
