The nose shows syrah usual traits : pepper, blackberry, there is even a bit of bacon in there! Definitely northern Rhone red. The palate is well balanced, there is a good acid drive in there, there is a bright fruit, some width, some matter, a good mouthfeel, lively tannins with a drying effect in mid palate and a long finish with fruit and pepper and that drying effect for quite a long time. I have been missing that wine for as long as we moved to Poland. I used to buy it from the grocery store downstairs back in Paris for 8 euro. I was so psyched to find it in the Wine shop downstairs here in Warsaw! As always, this is a solid CDR. — 2 years ago
This is a serious value (12,5€ or 16 USD in retail here in Poland) . Cherry, raisins, almonds very seductive nose. The palate is well balanced. Rather simple with some strong acid backbone, loads of ripe cherry with a sweet layer that bring some roundness to the overall feeling of this palate. Discreet tannins before a fresh finish with fruits. This is really easy going and confirming that I'm really into ripasso and amarone from veneto lately. I have a similar crush with it that I had a year ago with nice crus from Beaujolais — 3 years ago
An oak and leather. Then some dark fruit. It's easy to find very good Portuguese wine in Poland or anywhere. — 8 months ago
bought directly at the vineyard :-) — a year ago
I'm starting to like zinfandel. More than primitivo, which is popular in Poland now, I pressume (lots of bottles on the shelves of supermarkets). Zinfandel is deeper, richer. This one is fruity (a strawberry, a raspberry), jam with a leather. Very interesting with its sweetness and roughness. This bottle I dedicate for the health of my friends who caught the Virus. — 2 years ago

Domaine Bertrand - Beaujolais villages nouveau 2021
That's a funny story here. We visited the winery back in August 2021 and brought back different cuvées back home in poland. We found this bottle in a massive supermarket here in Warsaw, Poland, on a completely random struck of luck.
There is flowers on the nose (geranium?) and cherry and a bit of hay. It's textbook beaujo nouveau. The palate shows structure and matter unlike most beaujo nouveaux out there. Soft mouthfeel, nice fruit all along and a long finish with that fruity note. I could sip on beaujo nouveaux like this everyday — 6 months ago
