Vin de Savoie Chignin Jacquère 2019

J is for Jacquère. Fruit (yellow apples) and floral aromas, a round body with low acid, mellow fruit, and some lingering minerals. A good year-round drinker! #atoz2021 — 12 days ago

Argile Blanc Allobroges St. Pierre de Soucy Jacquère Blend 2018

Pale, waxy and stoney with a mild lemon twist and saline lift at the back end that demands another sip. Very clean/natural and I’m guessing no oak. Quite interesting. — a month ago

Claudius Vin de Savoie Chignin Jacquère 2013

Last night at Ko. Such a pure expression of jacquere with incredible acidity, minerality, pure expression of mountain herbs, floral, tiny bit honeyed — a month ago

Crac Boum’Bu Jacquère Blend 2019

I admit I’m sometimes a skeptic of clever labels, and seeing as I bought it a terrifically hip natty and natty-adjacent wine store I confess I went into this with a bad attitude but day-ummmm this is a thirst-quenching gulp of Savoie fare.
Lemon-y, light, seashells and daffodils it is springtime in a bottle which is astounding considering the guy skiing down the piste but I need to look up what the French says as I’m so many years past AP French lit I barely know how to say merde this is brilliant. You know what? It has this tickle though. Like it’s teasing at effervescence but it’s such a super-étoile it doesn’t need to sparkle to shine.
