A brilliant CalItal (yes, I said it) blend of Vermentino, Falanghina, Biancolella and Fiano from one of the kings of CalItal (Unti).
Fragrant (lemon ice, lemon verbena) and oh so refreshing (yellow flowers, fresh white melon). Delivers way more elegance and length than you’d expect from a simple porch wine.

2005 vintage. Courtesy of @Bill Bender Menthol, blueberry skins, tobacco in the nose. Medium-bodied. Elegant, chocolate chip ice cream finish. Holding up really nicely and would seem to have another half-decade in this phase of life. — 20 days ago
A very sweet wine that is fantastic ice cold in a hot day. — a month ago

2022/6/2 with culatello, Moroccan beans with guanciale, tagliata, etc. Deep yellow with gold tinges. There’s lots of cream, brioche and a touch of hazelnut on the nose; the palate is a bit reminiscent of apple pie with vanilla ice cream, including the hints of cinnamon spice. There’s plenty of acidity and body on the palate, and sweet round fruit despite this being extra brut. Very satisfying and drinking wonderfully. — a month ago
