Yeasty biscuit and lemonade on the nose. Lemon with a hint of lime squarely in the center of the palate. Oodles of tiny bubbles throughout. Such a lovely sip! — 9 days ago
Medium lemon with pronounced aromas of rich stone fruits, floral, herbs and biscuit notes, from several single vineyards and aged 8 months in French oak. On the palate flavors of apple, apricot and pineapple with notes of vanilla, honeysuckle and citrus. Lively acidity, long finish ending with a citrus fruit touch of mineral, floral and yeasty notes. — 7 days ago
👉 I’ve been excited to try this barrel-fermented and -aged Sauvignon Blanc from the Dry Stack Vineyard of Bennet Valley, Sonoma County, thanks to the amazing reviews from @Ron R. 🇺🇸 It’s actually a blend, comprised of 98% Sauvignon Blanc and 2% Semillon, reminiscent of a Bordeaux Blanc (winemaker Jesse Katz actually studied winemaking in Haut-Brion, Bordeaux; it shows). @jkatzwine
👁 This wine has strong clarity and a medium lemon hue.
👃 It immediately captures 📷 and focuses my senses on its youthful, layered nose offering complex aromas of ripe guava, mango, tangerine sherbet, passion fruit sorbet, lemon pith, lemongrass, fennel, white rose, cherry blossom, vanilla, and toast. 👏👏👏👏
👄 On the palate this wine is dry, albeit rich, ripe, and sweet in its aroma and flavor characteristics. It has medium(+) acidity, a medium body, medium alcohol, and pronounced intensity in flavors consistent with the nose. The finish lingers. 😍
The richness and vanilla, toasty aromas and flavors were undoubtedly influenced by the 6 months aging in 1/3 New French Oak, 1/3 Once Used French Oak, and 1/3 Neutral French Oak Barrels. 🪵

Interesting story. Put this in the freezer Saturday night for an after party bottle and promptly forgot it until the next day. I put it in the fridge bc of course the cork popped and it was a slushee. It thawed out today and I am enjoying a very nice wine. I think the freezing perhaps accelerated the aging a bit but it still amazingly tastes as it should. Nice Chard. Drinking young but it’s a fighter! — 8 days ago
Their 1st Chard produced, pale lemon with aromas of ripe stone fruit and spice notes. On the palate apple, peach and tropical fruit flavors with a nice dollop of citrus and buttery oak, wrapped in lively acidity. Well balanced, fresh medium+ finish ending with creamy mineral character. Nice. Tasting Sample. — 6 days ago
Pale yellow with pleasing aromas of citrus and tropical fruits, adding in spice and some biscuit notes. On the palate complex palate of flavors, fresh fruit, pineapple, lemon, grapefruit, peaches and Asian pears. Slight earthiness with a smooth and creamy well balanced finish ending with a gentle yeasty character. Very nice! Consistent quality! Will age well! — 10 days ago
Rubia Wine Cellars Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay 2019 Russian River Valley, California
Light golden in color.
On the nose citrus, yellow apples, lemons, light oak and vanilla, spices and white pepper.
Full bodied, smooth and lightly creamy, with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with apples, melons, pears, spices, light oak, vanilla, earth, light herbs and white pepper.
Nice length on the finish with spices and light almonds.
This is a delicious Chardonnay from Russian River Valley. Well-balanced with a great mouth feel. Elegant and rich.
Good by itself right out of the bottle, and better when not too cold, when the complexity shows up.
The light oak notes are very intertwined and give a luxury feel to the wine.
A good quality wine that would be nice to revisit in 3 years.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
100% Chardonnay grapes were barrel fermented and aged in French oak barrels for 16 months on lees. A very small production of only 6 barrels were made.
12.5% alcohol by volume.

From the Hess Collection, most fruit from Dutton Vineyard, pale lemon with aromas of stone fruits, citrus, oak and spice. On the palate apple, peach and citrus with notes of vanilla and toasty oak. Long finish, vivid acidity ending with fruit, oak and vanilla spice. — 6 days ago
Austere, reductive, bright acidity, rich without clinging oak, really beautiful expression of terroir. Gorgeous finish that lingers and delights the senses. Kistler uses the exact same clone and vinification process in every vineyard, so the difference between vineyards is the grapes and only the grapes. 2018 is an exceptional year for Dutton Ranch. Bottle #9338 of 11,150. Seductive and delicious, my friends. Cheers! — 13 days ago
