Nebbiolo d'Alba 2020

Decant and even better the second day. Smooth drinking, on the light side so good food or sipping wine. TBL — 11 days ago

Extra Brut Spumante Pinot Noir 2015

Really interesting when it got towards room temperature. This interesting mix of cream and tabgerine notes that was quite unlike most champagne I have had. Worth buying once definitely but a repeat buyer idk. The finish early on was a little lacking to me? When it was cold it didn’t taste like anything great. Let it warm a bit! — 2 months ago

Rabajà Di Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2004

Slightly less advanced colour , still garnet rim . Lovely sweet red fruit , rose , liquorice nose , very refined . On the palate riper and more generous but fresh red fruits , strawberry , raspberry , with floral touches also . Lovely balance , really refined ripe tannins . Great balancing acidity . Drinking well now but will certainly improve over the next 10 years and continue at a high level for a further 10-15 years . It’s really the balance and poise of this wine that makes it so great , even with the structure and power there is such refinement and grace — 21 days ago

Falletto di Serralunga d'Alba Riserva Barolo Nebbiolo 1989

I brought this. Dark reddish tawny. Another obvious Italian nose. Notes of roses, anise, some tar and some tea. Young in the mouth. Big mouth feel, even tannic despite 4-5 hours of air. People were down on this wine but then it opened up in the last hour of the long evening to display everything you want in a Barolo. This needs another 5-10 years of age, and at least 8-10 hours of air before consumption at the current moment. 95+ — 4 months ago

Roero Arneis 2020

Voluptuous, not at all like the past vintages. Reminds me of good vionier based Rhône’s. — a month ago

Langhe Nebbiolo 2021

Classic young Nebbiolo plus a little oak. Really nice acidity and medium– body with pretty mild tannins. Young and fresh but good. From Astor Wines. 05/04/23 — a month ago

Monvigliero Barolo Nebbiolo 2015

A decent Monvigliero but does not match the level & finesse of the Burlotto. — 2 months ago

Santo Stefano di Neive Riserva Barbaresco Nebbiolo 1988

Tasted blind. Light amber with a reddish hint. Italian nose. Notes of tea, roses, some anise. Nice earthy mouth feel. Feminine and delicate, yet it's all there with structure and impact. I'm in Giacosa Barbaresco camp with my guesses, debating if this is as old as something from the 60s or maybe it's the 82. One of my favorite wines of the evening. — 4 months ago
