This is awesome. Very fresh. Iodine, rockpools, dark plum, licorice. This is vibrant, clean and aromatic. Violets, tar, black cherry. This is long, complex and, frankly, amazing. What a bottle. This’ll be a pensioner next year! — 5 days ago

Very nice but still definitely could use some time to resolve. Decanted for 2 hours and had with pork chops. Nose is nearly incredible - dark cherry leaps from the glass. At this stage the tannins are somewhat unintegrated - one to try in another year or two. Excellent freshness on the long finish. — 8 days ago

The 2013 Riserva has more fruit and freshness than the 2015 regular Barolo. Similar in style, less tannins, more elegant but still rustic and powerful. Was not able to detect any distinctive vineyard signature, but the aroma has already penetrated deeply into the structure the way old Burgundy’s develop so that the aroma is not fleeting away. — 3 days ago
