See previous notes dating back to May 2018 and also August 2019. Consistent notes with noticeable Kerosene aromas. Also white flowers. On the palate a soapy texture with delicious flavours of green melon. Diminished acid notes largely resolved. A wonderful mature Clare Valley Riesling holding up and will go on for a few more years. — 11 days ago
Needed something “known” to drink and this fit the bill. The light color hides the multi-berries flavors that tend to favor raspberry. Slight flint and chalk are mixed at the mid palate with mild earth tones. Would recommend letting it open up a bit. As always though, this brought a smile to my face. — 19 days ago
Pairing with watching Hamilton on Disney+ (definitely on the sweeter side). — 9 days ago
Medium Ruby with aromas of red berry fruit and herb spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and tart raspberry with pleasant earthy herb notes, wrapped in vivid acidity and nice mouthfeel. Fine grainy tannins, good balance, long finish ending with full fruit character. Nice. Tasting Sample. — 9 days ago
11/14/20 - Saturday night and winter is slowly but surely making its way into our lives. After finishing the fall preperation of raking and cleaning the homestead I have made my way into the house to open the 2016 Substance Cs Powerline Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon by Charles Smith.
On the nose there are beautiful expressions of black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, mint, licorice, sage and herbal notes.
On the palate there is black cherry, blackberry, black currant, green bell pepper, black pepper, tobacco, mint, toasted oak and vanilla.
This wine is full bodied with medium + acidity and medium + sandy tannins that move into a long black fruit finish. I hope everyone's weekend is going well and we are enjoying ourselves the best we can. Please stay safe and healthy with a continued wonderful weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 21 days ago
