My third vintage, after 2017 and 2018. Rich, blackcurrant and leather. Very oak with some "warming" vanilla. — 4 months ago

Easy drinking. Smooth finish. — 8 days ago
Tobacco, leather, and perfectly ripe blackberries invade both nose and mouth with a tinge of black licorice resting underneath. Medium acidity, medium+finish, and boldness of flavor all point to a wine that while beautiful now, will only get better with another 5 years. — 3 months ago
Really intense nose, deep fruit with my a little smoke, full bodied, delicious- great value. — 4 months ago
Jammy and spicy. Dare I say a hint of cola? — 5 months ago

Inky purple without any brick. Subdued jamminess on the nose but not much alcohol despite ripeness at 14.5 ABV. Delicious black fruit with pronounced blueberries (my favorite element of the Shale Terrace). Disagree with other reviewer that some Zinfandel do not improve with some age. Fruit component can fade if you wait@too long but tannins become supple. — 3 months ago
Well this is super tasty! Deep ruby red with a medium plus nose of blackberry, cassis, plum, vanilla and black pepper. It’s got a luscious nose.
The wine is dry, high acid, medium alcohol but medium plus body with smooth tannins that become more grippy towards the finish. Medium plus fruit intensity that follows the nose plus a leathery earthy finish with a lot of lush fruit. The finish is medium but finishes with oak.
It’s a good to very good wine. Would absolutely drink it again. — 4 months ago
