Shockingly, it’s not bad. I saw Florida and thought “ewww,” but it was decent. Medium bodied. — 6 days ago
My first time trying the Cruse Tradition rosé since the dosage trial about a year ago. Really enjoyed it and am now kicking myself I didn’t buy more…maybe I’ll check back with them. At least Ultramarine’s release is around the corner!
As with his normal Tradition, these have such a grower champagne vibe to them with a new world spin. I don’t remember the dosage on this, but it’s low. Big time mousse initially but they don’t stick around long. There’s a vinous quality to this style (kind of like Laherte Freres saignee rosé), where the red fruit is powerful and masks the bubbles to a degree, but it works. Blood orange twang joins in at the finish. I enjoy the freshness on these, and think that’s when they show their best. Delicious. — 4 days ago
The 2021 Rosé Ode to Lulu shows mineral-tinged aromas of red berries, nectarine and citrus zest complemented by herb notes. Silky and energetic on the palate, offering white peach, strawberry and tangerine flavors with delineation and tension. A floral note lingers on the finish. $24.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2022) — 4 days ago
This Rosè needs time to open up otherwise it shows a heavy floral note on the palate.@Randy Fuller you are correct; I am getting spearmint on the nose and palate! Nice nuances of nectarine, strawberries, roses and orange peel. Good acid and fruit balance. — 11 days ago
Always an attractive wine in an attractive package, year in and year out. What a terrific nose. All brambly and gamey fresh out of the gate with so much smoke following. It smells so good. The cherry aromas come a little late but are bright and pristine. A ton of earthy goodness that comes and stays and you’re so thankful it does.
Oregon Syrah as crafted from the folks from one of my favorite labels, Methode Sauvage. And once you taste it, you know who made it. Natural and glorious, the acidity is brisk and the overall aura is esoteric and delicious. Electric fruit but the best part is the greenery. Drink slightly chilled and let it sit for a while, it absolutely improves with air. A star of a wine. — 3 days ago
This pale pink wine has a nose of strawberries, green parts and all. It is a fresh and lively aroma, one that invites the sip deliciously. The palate shows more strawberries, along with some stone fruit and a hint of salinity. The acidity is refreshing and will make for good food pairings across a wide range of dishes. — 9 days ago
