Cuvée Vieilles Vignes Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Pinot Noir 1999

Definitely the best bottle of this we have had - and unfortunately our last! No decant, but let this “slow ox” for several hours. Fun wine to cap off the week of our son’s first birthday. Dusty rose and some lovely earthy red fruit on the nose - almost like cherries or strawberries growing in a mushroom patch. Exquisite mouthfeel - hits every part of the mouth, perfect acid, great length, exceptionally seamless. Really one of the best wines I’ve had, ever. Paired with a simple roast chicken with mushrooms cooked in the chicken drippings. — 8 days ago

Awesome wine, probably 10-15+ years to go, 99's might live forever.

Crazy exotic aromatics with wild berries , under brush , animal and spice quite lovely and tamely on the palate with good complexity and a well-balanced elegant finish . — 4 years ago

Clos de la Roche Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2016

The 2nd of 4 Grand Crus from Morey Saint Denis. Colour of deep Ruby - darker than the Lambrays. Quite a rich palate of M+ intensity. Great mouthfeel. At this point I wrote in my notes “ getting to the point of sensory overload. Let me tell you that 2016 is a great vintage for Red Burgundy “. A wonderful Clos de la Roche”. Worth purchasing as it is always better value than the Ponsot Clos de la Roche. — 3 years ago

Good lord this was as good as the 81 Ponsot Latricieres the night before. Gorgeous texture, beautiful fruit, great length, slight bricking, bravo Michel. Village! Incredible. — 3 years ago

more lift and acidity than Ponsot, an excellent wine—not as layered. — 4 years ago

Cuvée du Tilleul Les Charmes Chambolle-Musigny Pinot Noir 2017

Intense wine, full raspberries, syrupy, enough acidity to be good. A relatively high alcohol feeling. — 9 months ago

'Cuvee du Saule' Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2016

The first of a series of 9 Grand Crus from Gevrey Chambertin from the 2016 vintage. Identities of the 9 wines known but not the order of service. Tasted blind. The first thing of note is the very groovy modernist non Burgundian label from Ponsot. Never seen anything like it. As far as the wine itself - Mid Ruby in colour. Muted nose even after vigorous swirling. On the palate dense and rich with sweet Medium plus tannins. I thought at the beginning of this group that if the Corton group was so good how great will this bracket from Gevrey be? — 3 years ago

Never come across this new label
It must be a super minuscule parcel from the GC.
I am interested👌

Chapelle Chambertin Grand Cru Pinot Noir 2015

The 5th Grand Cru in the Gevrey Chambertin lineup and yes, both the photo and description are correct! Rich ruby in colour. Nose of dried meat and a touch of liquorice. Full bodied with lots of extract - a big Burgundy......a Shiraz drinkers Burgundy to be a little blunt. Again, reflective of the warm vintage. — 4 years ago
