No new oak. Top of Pommard, 100% whole cluster. A serious Bourgogne Rouge with tons of herbs, spices, and minerality. Medium acidity and young tannins. Medium body. — 3 years ago
Vibrant bubbles, gorgeous mousse, yeasty, toasty, green apple, lovely. Highly recommend. — 4 years ago
Truly nice and not too sweet. Just right with pizza. — 2 years ago
Domaine de Panisse CdP Noble Revelation
First off you have to know that I love! Love CdP. This is the 2012 vintage and it is hitting all the right notes...
The hue is red with a dollop of brown if you will. After a two hour aeration the smell is quite pleasant: ripe dark plum is predominant with a slight hint of dried Mediterranean spices. Balanced from beginning to mid-pallet, velvety! On the fore-pallet it feels bold and tannic with a long and savory finish.
There is a very casual non pretentious quality about this CdP which screams “drink me” after each and very sip... Enjoyed with a roasted Frenched rack of lamb and red wine reduction sauce, asparagus, and cherry tomatoes. Selection by the lovely Maria Chantal. — 2 years ago
Nice! Not as dry as expected. Just as delicious as Nice red. — 2 years ago
Tart flavor. Perfect Pinot. — 3 years ago
Translucent Ruby color and light bodied with nice acidity. Sour red cherry and light earth notes leading to a smooth lightly peppery finish. Delicious red Burgundy.Paired well with our grilled chicken salad, and also great on its own! — 5 years ago
Daniel P. Drake
On this Thursday night I have opened the 2018 Flowers Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Winemaker Chantal Forthun
On the nose there is cherry, raspberry, red currant, clove, herbaceous notes, funk and forest floor.
On the palate I am able to detect tart cherry, tart strawberry, raspberry, vanilla, herbal notes, spice and a bit of earthy tones.
This wine is medium bodied, well blended and beautifully balanced with medium + acidity and medium fine tannins with a long fresh, clean red fruit finish. As we head into the weekend I hope all are well and please stay safe and stay healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — a year ago
