Colombaio Montosoli Rosso di Montalcino DOC Sangiovese 2023

Nice but not great this year. Heavy, earthy, dark berries and spice. Complex but somewhat ordinary, especially when compared to the 2022 vintage that was outstanding. — 2 days ago

Alois Lageder

Tenutæ Lageder Löwengang Südtirol-Alto Adige DOC Chardonnay 2021

Vintage 2021 | High end Chardonnay to adore. A very broad spectrum of impressions in smell, citrus, apple, almond, good balance and that appealing swallow-factor. Vines up to 78 years old. Very nice. — 7 months ago

Azelia

Langhe DOC Nebbiolo 2022

Haven’t had much from Azelia which is why I was curious. A solid langhe Nebbiolo, especially at $23 in today’s world. Definitely on the lighter side, but still good fruit and acid with a whisper of tannin. Nice with pork chops, especially with a slight chill — 7 months ago

The wines have only been getting more interesting over the years; particularly as they have been shifting back towards being more traditional .

@Jay Kline thank you that’s helpful. Does seem like one to watch especially given the price points.
