Deep garnet color. Aromas of bright/ripe/sweet red fruit, rose petals, charcoal and light oak. Ripe red cherry and plum fruit on the palate with hints of sweet spices. Long finish with pleasant notes of wood smoke. Juicy tannins and quite elegant for such a young Nebbiolo based wine. Quite fresh and invigorating. Thanks for sharing, Keith S. — 6 months ago
This is banger of a Rosso di Montalcino! Huge nose on opening with dark fruit - primarily dark fruit and wet moss. Palate is bold and surprisingly full bodied with lots of layers - primarily fruit forward with dark cherry, moss, soft spices leaning towards cinnamon - overall more juicy acidity until late when a long smooth tannic finish emerges and lingers pleasurably. Just a lovely experience. — a month ago
Perfect on Colin’s roof deck. Tart. Juicy. — 8 months ago
Haven’t had much from Azelia which is why I was curious. A solid langhe Nebbiolo, especially at $23 in today’s world. Definitely on the lighter side, but still good fruit and acid with a whisper of tannin. Nice with pork chops, especially with a slight chill — 2 months ago
