This wine demands your attention. It’s got a surprisingly light and advanced color. But the wine has lots of life. It’s really a Nebbiolo that is a vehicle for the stony soil rather than for the grapes’ fruit. Some cherry fruit but mostly fragrant minerality here. A rather austere style in the mouth that really shines with food.

This guy is like the Jacky Truchot of Alto Piemonte. Light color, yet amazing finesse and delicacy along with a brilliant texture. Gorgeous nose. Cherries, spice, sawdust, Rainer cherries as well, some lurid feral aromas as well. So complex, delicate and detailed. Palate is beautifully fruited with lovely elegant tannin and gorgeous bright cherries rule the day. Dusty elegant tannin and sappy fruit finish it off. Needs maybe 1 hour to turn into the lace monster it becomes.

I love life. Good fruit yes. But the internal aromatics are awesome. Tar and roses. Pure sweet wood. Just a beautiful day wine. Jazz. I love this. Bought from Fass Selections.

With air, nose shoots out loads of the sweetest ripe macerated cherry, chopped fresh oregano, and light, floaty gravelly minerals. Flavors explode in the mouth, yet it's nearly weightless. Nice acidity and just the barest coating of soft tannin. So dynamite with steak pizzaiola.
