Dehesa Valquejigoso

Bodega Dehesa de Luna

Vino Tinto Dehesa de Luna Origenes 2015

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Tempranillo. Cultivated organically in a “biodiversity reserve” in the Castilla la Mancha región near Valencia but outside of any DO, so technically it is an IGT. Black pepper, sweet blackberries, and smoke on the nose, with black cherry, spice, dark chocolate on the palate. Smooth tannins and acidity. A medium long, sweet finish, with I imagine some residual sugar here, (I bet it’s right on the line), but it is still a dry wine. Super easy to drink! — a year ago

Bodegas Olarra

Dehesa de Lantana Crianza Rioja Tempranillo 2016

Bought from Majestic and drank at home. Nice easy to drink wine balanced and fresh. Similar to the red we bought from St-Omer. Didn't keep as well over the weekend — 9 months ago

dense as a brick. Don’t feel a thing until the next day. But it’s beautiful when it opens. — 2 years ago

This was black as my soul. Seriously. So much suspended particulates. Still very good — 2 years ago

Bodega y Viñedos Fernández Rivera

Dehesa la Granja Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León Tempranillo 2004

I’m a sucker for Spanish Tempranillo. This wine seems less fruity and simultaneously more tannic than what I normally have. But still delicious. This is my first non Rioja Tempranillo. This is from the Castilla and Leon region. Typical? I’m eager to find out. — a year ago
