Nose: citrus, cream, saline. Whiff of melons - cantaloupe. Butter cookie.

Taste: good. Nice texture. A bit of white-grape juice on the initial sip, but acidity and bitter almonds quickly balance it out, then it disappears. Also lemon pith and something vaguely tropical - pineapple. Bracingly “brut.” I think I prefer cremant for my $20-ish dollars, but this is good. 90.

Domaine Hurst Vintage 2016 Cremant d’Alsace | I’m impressed. Combination of Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois. 48 months sur lie (!) and that gives this Cremant great character. Beautiful smell with jasmin, good acidity and great balance. Perfect alternative for champagne. — 3 months ago

NV | Beautiful cremant made from Auxerrois with 20 months sur lie. Tasted at home as good as in France - which is not always the case… Citrus and lemon in smell, very vivid with good acidity.
