Another excellent Steven Graf/Fifi selection… organic yet clean and classic. Bright dark fruits and nicely balanced tannins and a spicy finish. Paired tonight with wild boar ragu. Stop the madness. — 2 years ago
Francie thought it the best Chianti she’s tasted. — a year ago
Crowd pleasing complex Chianti. Blend of Sangiovese (85%), Merlot (10%) and Colorino (5%). Aromas of dark berries, dry earth, black olives, leather and rosemary. Dried black cherry envelopes the pallet along with touches of dried cranberries, black licorice and tobacco. Soft tannins and well balanced/fresh acidity. Thank You, Ron B. Revisited in August 2022. Aging nicely. — 2 years ago
Nice entry level wine from the fine folks at Montevertine. Great pairing with a marcella hazan inspired pork chops with mushrooms, tomatoes, and a bit of cream. Not quite integrated and seamless at this point, but a great pickup for $36 on Black Friday. Decanted 2 hours, improved with time. — 4 months ago
Lovely Sangiovese — 9 months ago
Deep Ruby with aromas of berries, leather and earthy notes, blend of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Malvasia Nera and 10% Colorino. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberries with leather, cacao and earthy herbs. Long finish, round tannins ending with fruit and earthy character. Very nice!! — a year ago

Médium ruby , medium ruby pink rim . Needs time to open up , with spiced red cherry , cut herbs , violets , slightly toasty hints . On the palate very intense red fruits , high acidity and quite gritty tannin . Quite raw and young this , really needs time . Quite saline and mineral on the long , quite lean finish , menthol tinged finish . Needs 5-10 years really will last a further 10 . Very promising . — a month ago
